The Bodyguard – There’s a new star in town!
Welcome to
The Alexandra As the sun sets on another spectacular season of theatre, I am already looking forward to another year of sensational shows and events. Our free Open Day proved a huge success, welcoming hundreds of visitors of all ages through our doors. Guests were offered the chance to access (almost!) all areas; taking part in backstage tours, delving into our archives, lighting up our stage and unwrapping their creativity in ballroom dance lessons and crafting. Our annual Stage Experience, Bring It On, saw over 70 participants aged 9-24 take to the stage. With 18 productions now under our belt, this proved one of the most challenging to stage, given the gymnastic elements! All the hard work of the cast and creative team was rewarded when we welcomed an incredible 1,000 audience members to the opening night. We were delighted to open the national tour of Pretty Woman: The Musical with a sell out Birmingham run and now look forward to opening the tour of the much-anticipated An Officer and a Gentleman the Musical in February. Our venue sits in the beating heart of Birmingham, and we can’t wait to welcome you through our doors, whether for a theatre tour, an open day, a lunchtime concert or a show.
