Welcome to our summer season What’s On guide, featuring a scorching line-up of musicals, comedy and quality entertainment. This sensational season brings back the highly anticipated smash hit musical SIX. Adding to the excitement is La Bamba!, a jaw-dropping new musical that combines Latin, R&B and timeless rock and pop. With breathtaking choreography from Strictly Come Dancing favourite Graziano Di Prima and starring The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran and Strictly’s Pasha Kovalev, La Bamba! tells the inspiring story of a young girl with a big voice and even bigger dreams, celebrating the power of music to transform lives.

Join us for some pantomime fun in December as we present Beauty and the Beast in conjunction with Jordan Productions, our brand new pantomime partner. Jordan Productions currently produces a number of festive and Easter pantomimes across the country, and we’re really excited to welcome them to Torquay this Christmas for some festive comedy, toe-tapping musical numbers and enchanting magic! And as you immerse yourself in this fantastic entertainment, don’t forget to indulge in our summer menu in our cafe, Teatro which is open daily from 10am with stunning views over Torbay. Discover our new menu crafted with seasonal ingredients, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere of our performances. Agatha Christie Festival

Be part of our unmissable Agatha Christie Festival with music, readings and special guest appearances to

celebrate the acclaimed writer’s 133rd birthday!

The Agatha Christie Festival is a week-long celebration of the Torquay-born author across the English Riviera which coincides with her birthday on 15th September. It was founded in 1990, which was the centenary of Agatha Christie’s birth. Amongst the highlights was the unveiling of the Agatha Christie memorial bust and the launch of the Agatha Christie Mile, with seven plaques to spot along the route.

Over the years, the festival has grown into one of the most popular literary events in the UK, attracting fans from across the world. The Princess Theatre has always played a huge part in this and this year the 70th anniversary touring production of The Mousetrap will be visiting Torquay during the festival.

There will also be the opportunity to hear about the remarkable history of the world’s longest running play at a special event ahead of the opening night performance.

This year’s packed line-up includes Robert Thorogood (writer of Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise), Ann Cleeves (writer of Vera and Shetland), Ruth Ware (author of The IT Girl and The Turn of the Key) and Sophie Hannah who pens the official Poirot sequels.

Fans can also enjoy a concert from The Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers, a supergroup of writers with Val McDermid on lead vocals.

Other highlights of the year’s event include a dog-walking murder mystery, an underground film festival at Kents Cavern, a literary pub crawl and a rehearsed reading of Agatha Christie’s Lost Play, Towards Zero to mark her birthday.

INFORMATION ABOUT FEES

Up to £1.75 from each ticket sold is used for the upkeep and improvements to your theatre. We spend this wisely to give you the best experience possible, provide equal access for everyone and offer creative learning opportunities in local communities across the UK.
