3-NIGHT ESCAPE PERFECT FOR COUPLES

Itinerary for the perfect three-night escape to Isles of Glencoe

DAY ONE

Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the hotel, settle into your new home and have a wander around the hotel surroundings to soak in the stunning Highland scenery

Take on the water to wake yourself up after a long journey, try out paddleboarding, the perfect backdrop and you can see Glencoe from a new perspective

AFTERNOON EVENING

AFTERNOON

Return to the hotel to relax and enjoy a well-deserved afternoon tea. Tuck into some freshly made sandwiches and sweet treats with your choice of drinks Find your favourite spot overlooking Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven.

DAY TWO MORNING EVENING

After some chilled out time and stretching to recover your weary muscles, it’s time to pick from various delicious dishes inspired by land and sea at the Waters Edge restaurant.

Relax for a while, and if you fancy, our swimming pool and sauna is open until 10pm

DAY THREE MORNING

Indulge in our hearty Scottish breakfast again, or if you prefer something different, our continental section will do the trick It will keep you fuelled up for the next couple of hours

If you prefer two wheels to two feet, you are in the perfect spot There are trails here to suit every age and ability Why not make your way to Glen Etive, to retrace James Bond’s drive through the scenic Glen

Grab an early lunch, before heading to Fort William and Glenfinnan to continue your Highland adventure

DAY THREE AFTERNOON

Head north to Fort William, home to Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak Visit the Ben Nevis Distillery, enjoy a wander around the town, and enjoy the breathtaking views

For even more breathtaking views, head west to Glenfinnan, about 50 minutes from the hotel Here, you will find the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (aka the Harry Potter bridge), which stands proudly over the glen looking towards Loch Shiel We also recommend visiting the Glenfinnan Monument, a tranquil and haunting tribute to the 1745 Jacobite Rising, which began here

EVENING

On your way back, why not visit our sister hotel, Ballachulish Hotel for dinner at FISH restaurant Specialising in seafood, these dishes are crafted using locally caught seafood - it doesn’t get fresher than this Alternatively, join us again in the Water’s Edge restaurant

If the weather is on your side, we recommend going to Cuil Bay, a 20-minute drive away, to watch the sunset over the bay This tranquil beach is home to plenty of wildlife, and the shimmering loch is truly mesmerising

EXPLORE THE GREAT OUTDOORS

GLENCOE LOCHAN

The woods surrounding Glencoe Lochan are peaceful and calm with conifers and rugged mountains encircling the lochan This gentle walk leads you through towering trees, winding tracks and around the lochan itself. On a nice day, the reflection in the lochan shows off a mirror image of the surrounding scenery

HIDDEN VALLEY

We recommend heading out early for this adventure so you can take your time and, if you are lucky, have most of the walk to yourself There is a handy carpark across from the three sisters peaks at the beginning of the walk

WOODLANDS GLENCOE ACTIVITIES

There's so much adventure and fun is to be had at Woodlands Glencoe. Explore the 36-acres estate - located beside the loch, at the foot of the glen You'll even find of the Scotland's hidden gen golf courses there too. Whatever activity you try, stunning views are guaranteed

GLEN ETIVE

As the original ‘road to nowhere’, Glen Etive has featured in films such as Braveheart and Skyfall making it a popular day out for visitors Allow yourself two hours for the round trip from Glencoe, and be sure to take your time to explore Loch Etive on foot at the end Look out for the herds of red deer who call Glen Etive home
