Tenetech 's Guide on using the Mobile Application

KYC REGISTRATION AND SIGN UP

If you are registering with Tenetech for the first time, you will need to sign up for your Tenetech account through the mobile Application (iOS, Android ) or website (Tenetech Nsfas) and then complete your KYC process to authenticate the account.

Download the Tenetech NSFAS Mobile Application, enter your Identity number and your mobile number that you registered with for your NSFAS application. An OTP (One-Time Pin) will be sent to your mobile number via SMS Enter this OTP as requested when registering; Do not share this OTP with anyone.

Once you have entered the OTP, you will need to create and confirm a 4-digit passcode; do not share this passcode with anyone, keep it private. You will then need to take a photograph of your SA identity document and a selfie to authenticate the account. Once these steps are completed, enter in your personal information, like your name and surname, create a password and then your registration process is complete Remember to keep your password and passcode a secret and do not share it with anyone.

LOGIN

Login to your Tenetech account that you have created by using your ID number followed by your mobile number and password. If you are using our website, you would have to enter your passcode as well. Remember to keep your password and passcode a secret and do not share it with anyone.

RESET YOUR PASSWORD

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it. Select “RESET PASSWORD” under settings and an OTP will be sent to your mobile number via SMS. Enter this OTP and then create a new password; remember to never share this password with anyone.

If you have forgotten your passcode, you can reset it. Select “RESET PASSCODE” under settings and an OTP will be sent to your mobile number via SMS. Enter your OTP and then create a new password; remember to never share this passcode with anyone.

HOW TO PAY A QR CODE

To pay a QR code, go to the home page of your Tenetech account and select the "PAY A QR CODE" icon. This will allow you to scan the QR code. You will be advised that you are about to make a payment. Complete the payment details as prompted until you reach the "PAY NOW" option upon which you must enter in an OTP which will be sent to your mobile number via SMS, followed by your passcode. You have now successfully paid a QR code. Remember to never share this password or OTP with anyone.

HOW TO GENERATE A QR CODE TO GET PAID

You can generate a QR code to get paid by someone else who is an account holder with us. Generate a QR code by selecting the icon that says "GENERATE QR CODE" on your Tenetech account home page. The payment will be received into the virtual wallet of your choosing on your Tenetech profile. Enter the amount that is being paid as prompted and select the icon that says "GENERATE QR CODE". A QR code will appear on the screen for scanning. Once scanned, the payment will be sent to your virtual wallet.

CARDLESS WITHDRAWALS

You can make withdrawals without the use of a physical NSFAS card. You can access your funds by withdrawing your money from an ATM machine, by making an electronic funds transfer (EFT) and by withdrawing your money to a retail outlet store.

ATM:

1. From Home Page, navigate to and select your wallet, select withdrawal, Select ATM.

2. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw.

3. You should receive a token via in app notification and steps to follow at the ATM.

EFT:

1. From Home Page, select “Make an EFT”.

2. On the next screen, choose which wallet to pay from, Select Immediate EFT or standard EFT option, Enter the amount to EFT and press “NEXT”

3. Enter recipient bank details, enter a payment reference and select “NEXT”

4. Confirm all information is correct on the following page were prompted and select “Continue”

5. Enter OTP sent to user’s number and select “Continue”.

6. Enter Passcode and select “Continue”

7. Your transaction is completed.

CASH AT RETAILER:

1. From Home Page, navigate to and select your wallet, select withdrawal, Select Cash at retailer.

2. Enter in the amount, select the retailer (Pick n Pay), enter in your ID number and click send Top up request.

3. You should receive a token via in app notification.

4. User should receive steps to give the cashier.

WALLET TOP UPS

There are for types of top ups that you can do:

EFT:

1. From the home page select your wallet, select top up, select EFT and select “continue”

2. A screen should pop up with the bank details that the recipient can use to top up the account.

TOP UP WITH A LINKED BANK CARD:

1. From the home page select your wallet, select top up, select Linked Bank Card and select “continue”

2. Select the bank card you would want to top up with and press “Continue”

3. Enter OTP sent to user’s number and select “Continue”

4. Enter Passcode and select “Continue”

5. Approve transaction and your account should get topped up

TOP UP AT RETAILER:

1. From the home page select your wallet, select top up, select Cash at a Retailer and select “continue”.

2. Enter in amount you would like to top up with, select retailer (Pick n Pay), Enter in your ID number and select send Top Up request.

3. A screen should pop up with the details that you would have to give the cashier to complete your top up process.

TOP UP AT ATM:

1. From the home page select your wallet, select top up, select ATM and select “continue”

2. You will receive steps to follow at the ATM along with bank details to complete you top up process.

LINK A BANK CARD

You can now link your bank cards for easy Top Ups:

1. From the home page, select the wallet icon on the bottom menu bar (if you are using the web, it will be on the top right corner).

2. Select “Link my Bank Card”

3. Enter details from your card (Card number, Name, Expiry date, CVV).

4. Select Save User and your card should be added.

CREATE A VIRTUAL CARD FOR THE FIRST TIME

To create a virtual card, you will need to login to your account and select “ADD VIRTUAL CARD”. You can create your virtual card. Once you have added in your details (depending on whether you created your virtual or physical card first, you will have to enter in your address etc.), the virtual card will have been successfully created.

REGISTER YOUR PHYSICAL CARD

Open the Tenetech mobile Application. Open the home page. Go to your physical cards. Click on "ADD A CARD". Scan the QR code on your card, or type in the code found under the QR code on your card. Accept the terms and conditions. Your card has successfully been registered.

VALUE-ADDED SERVICES

Tenetech offers Value Added Services on your Tenet Technology account.

Tenetech offers:

• Purchasing data and airtime through your account for yourself or another number.

YOUR TRANSACTION HISTORY

Your transaction history is a running record of all the financial transactions that you have made. The account history records all your credits and debits. You can find your transaction history icon on the home page of your Tenetech account. The transaction history shows you how much money was sent or received on which day.

DOWNLOAD BANK STATEMENTS

From the home page, navigate to the wallet icon and select your wallet, select bank statement and choose and download from our three-month range

TRANSFERING OF FUNDS

You can transfer your funds to other Tenetech wallets of yours by simply:

1. From the home page, navigate to the wallet icon and select your wallet

2. Select transfer

3. On the next screen, select own

4. Select which wallet you want to transfer from and which wallet you want to transfer to

5. Enter in the amount you want to transfer

6. Enter in OTP sent to you cell number

7. Enter passcode

8. Your transfer should be successful, and your funds should reflect immediately

You can also transfer to another Tenetech account by:

1. From the home page, navigate to the wallet icon and select your wallet

2. Select transfer

3. On the next screen, select someone else’s wallet

4. Select which wallet you want to transfer from

5. Enter recipient’s phone number

6. Enter in the amount you want to transfer

7. Enter in OTP sent to you cell number

8. Enter passcode

9. Your transfer should be successful

FRAUD & SECURITY

If you think you have been scammed or your account has been hacked, please take the necessary actions below;

• Contact Tenetech Support at 080 087 3287 or Support@tenetech.co.za: The first step is to contact Tenetch support immediately and inform them of the scam or compromise. This will enable Tenetech to freeze the account and take appropriate measures to prevent further unauthorized access or transactions.

• Change your password's and Passcode's: change your account password and Passcode immediately. Please also consider changing the passwords and PINs for all other online accounts linked to the same email address or mobile number.

• File a police report: file a police report to document the scam or compromise and provide a record for any potential investigation.

• Keep evidence: keep any evidence related to the scam or compromise, including emails, receipts, and any other documentation you have.

• Review your account activity: review your activity and account history thoroughly and report any unauthorized transactions or suspicious activities to the bank.

• Be cautious: always be cautious of emails, phone calls or text messages requesting your personal or financial information.

FAQ'S

1) What is the cut-off time for EFT outbound payments?

• If you make a payment to another South African bank before 14h30, the funds will be credited and reflected in the recipient's bank account before 12 a.m. (midnight).

2) Is there a limit to how much I can EFT?

• R3000 daily limit that you can adjust on your Tenetech account.

3) What should I do if my NSFAS bank card is lost, stolen or damaged?

• Call the Toll-free support line for Tenetech on 0800 873 287.

4) Can I use my card at any retail outlet?

• Yes, since your NSFAS card is a bank card, you can use it at any retail outlet.

5) When will I receive my inbound EFT from another South African bank into my NSFAS bank card?

• Your funds will be reflected in your NSFAS account within 1 to 2 business working days.
