Study Abroad Program

Experience is the best teacher.

Study Abroad is open to international students in Years 7 to Year 11. The program offers students school enrolment and accommodation in the school’s on campus boarding dormitory. Students participate in mainstream classes and are included in the complete educational program. Our Study Abroad Program provides a cultural and language immersion experience. Students are expected to give their best efforts towards the academic program and uphold the rules and expectations placed upon all students enrolled at The Cathedral School. Students are supported to realise their academic potential and may elect to participate in formal assessment. Students enrolled for one semester or one year will receive a School Report, while students who attend for a term will receive a Certificate of Participation at the conclusion of the program.

Apply online Application Fee $300 non-refundable

International Student Application Process: To apply for international enrolment at The Cathedral School, please follow these steps: 1

Fill in the Application for Enrolment online. Upload passport, school reports, English test, diagnosis, and medical reports. Pay a non-refundable Application Fee ($300 AUD). The application is reviewed and suitable applicants will be invited to an interview via video link. Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Offer, Written Agreement, and Invoice. To accept, sign, and return the Written Agreement and pay the nonrefundable Confirmation Fee within 14 days.

The school will issue CoE, CaaW, and OSHC Policy. Apply for a student visa and once received send through a copy of the Visa Grant Notice. A complete enrolment package will be sent prior to commencement. Arrive at Townsville Airport on Boarders’ Travel Day. Free airport transfer available. Attend Orientation.
