Peter Sakai (Democratic Party) is the Bexar County Judge in Texas. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.

Education
Sakai received an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 and a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School in 1979.[1]
Career
Prior to being elected to the bench, Sakai was the judge of the Bexar County Children's Court. He was appointed to this role in 1995. Sakai also previously served as a juvenile master/referee in the 289th District Court. At the beginning of his career he worked as the chief of the Juvenile Section of the District Attorney’s Office and, at one time, maintained a private practice.[1]
