Nebraska 2014 ballot measures
One ballot measure was certified for the November 4, 2014 ballot in the state of Nebraska. It was approved, thereby increasing the state's minimum wage to $8 effective January 1, 2015, and again to $9 effective January 1, 2016.
Supporters needed to collect at least 114,074 valid signatures for initiated constitutional amendments and 79,852 for initiated state statutes by the filing deadline of July 4, 2014 in order to get a measure on the ballot.
Amendment 1, a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, was kicked off the ballot by the Nebraska Supreme Court on September 5, 2014.[1]

- Between 1996 and 2013, an average of eight measures have appeared on even-numbered election year ballots in Nebraska. Therefore, 2014 was a below-average year based on the number of certified measures.
- From 1996 to 2014, the number of measures on statewide ballots has ranged from one to nineteen.
- Between 1996 and 2014, 40 of 72, or 56 percent, of Nebraska ballot measures have been approved by voters.
- Conversely, 32 of 72, or 44 percent, of measures have been defeated.
