One statewide ballot measure was certified for the November 4, 2014 ballot in the state of Kansas. The one measure was approved.

The 2014 legislative session began on January 13, 2014, and concluded on May 30, 2014. The state does not allow initiatives or referendums, therefore, measures must be referred by the Kansas Legislature.

The approved measure was a legislatively referred constitutional amendment that legalized nonprofits holding raffles for charitable purposes. Prior to this measure, the practice was illegal due to constitutional language regarding gambling.^[1][2]

Historical facts
