Voter and candidate information
The Middle Country Central Board of Education consists of nine members. All members are elected to three-year terms. Board members are elected at-large by the district as a whole, but each seat on the board is considered distinct and elected separately.[4] Ballotpedia has assigned generic titles to all nine seats on the board to prevent confusion. These seat titles are arbitrary and do not reflect the status or seniority of the board members holding them. There was no primary election, and the general election was held on May 20, 2014. Three seats were up for election in 2014 and three seats will be up for election in 2015.[5]
