Michigan held an election for two of eight seats on the Michigan State Board of Education on November 8, 2022. The Democratic Party state convention was scheduled to be held on August 20 and August 21, 2022.[1] The Republican Party state convention was scheduled to be held on August 27, 2022.[2]
Incumbent Pamela Pugh and Mitchell Robinson won election in the general election for Michigan State Board of Education.
In Michigan, political parties nominate candidates for some offices at their conventions instead of holding a primary. Candidates for lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, Supreme Court, and the boards of Michigan State University, Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, and the state Board of Education are nominated at conventions.[3]
