Larson ran in the 2010 election for Vermont State Senate Washington District. Larson was defeated by Democratic incumbent Ann Cummings, Democratic Anthony Pollina, and Republican incumbent William E. Doyle in the general election on November 2, 2010. Larson, Doyle, and David Harrington were unopposed in the Republican primary election on August 24, 2010.[2][3]
