Sabreen Shalabi

Sabreen Shalabi is a Senior Project Officer at the Global Survivors Fund, and the Country Coordinator for its project with Syrian survivors of detention in Türkiye. Sabreen is Syrian American and has been actively engaged in governance, gender, and civil society work in the Middle East since 2011. During her development career, she supported over 60 local institutions and civil society organizations in growing their capacity and amplifying their advocacy. Sabreen has completed various research projects to assist international actors in developing culturally sensitive and effective programs in the Middle East. Sabreen holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and two bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Sociology.
