Since the enactment of the Divorce Act in 1996, members of the Irish judiciary have been faced with a number of difficulties regarding the interpretation and application of its provisions. This article considers the approach of both the legislature and the judiciary to the issues of clean break, pre-existing separation agreements and prenuptial agreements, and in so doing reveals their failure to recognize sufficiently the importance of existing agreements and highlights the dangers that are an inevitable consequence of the widely framed powers of the judiciary.

On November 8–9, 2019 in Tbilisi (Georgia) the I International Forum of Menopause Experts initiated by the Association of Gynecologists-Endocrinologists of Ukraine was held. Expert working group included leading specialists in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. Experts presented data of their countries on the status of menopause management, experience in solving problems of this period of life.

During medical counseling women should pay special attention to the timely start of therapy, explaining the benefits and risks of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT), identifying age-dependent risks and ways to overcome them. MHT is the most effective and pathogenetically substantiated method for the correction of menopausal disorders today. The goal of MHT is to partially compensate for the deficiency of sex hormones using minimally optimal doses that can improve the general condition of women and ensure the prevention of late metabolic disorders and osteoporosis.

Individualization of MHT depends on the patient's age and menopausal status. For each stage of woman's reproductive aging according to the STRAW+10 a balanced decision is required on the choice of the regimen and dosage of the combined MHT with therapeutically effective low-dosage forms. It is recommended to start MHT mainly in perimenopause or in early postmenopause, but with menopause duration no more than 10 years. It is necessary to evaluate the thickness of the endometrium using transvaginal sonography before therapy.

In perimenopause it is preferable to start MHT in a combined cyclic regimen with a lower dose of estrogen. In postmenopausal women it is preferable to start with a lower dose of estrogen and use a continuous combined dosage regimen of estrogen and gestagen. It is proposed a continuous assessment of the fractures risks to effectively prevent the osteoporosis in women in the postmenopausal period.

An annual basic examination is necessary throughout the entire period of MHT use: measurement of weight, waist circumference and blood pressure level, gynecological examination, cytological examination of a cervical smear according to Papanicolaou, ultrasound of the pelvic organs with determination of the endometrium thickness and structure, mammography.

Given the notion that trust may be viewed as a continuum, and that different modes of conflict management exist, this paper proposes that different modes of conflict management are likely to be associated with different levels of trust. While culture is typically viewed as the overarching variable in cross-cultural negotiations and that trust operates in the background as a decisive factor. We are considering the essential factor in cross-cultural negotiation is the level of trust that both parties have developed as part of their relationship. The important idea of this paper is to study the role of culture and trust while handling conflict in cross-culture scenario

The aim of the paper was to examine the use of instructional materials from local resources for art based courses at the tertiary level. The paper examined the concept of instructional materials and their production for instructional purposes for art based courses. Effort was made to review literature on the categorization of instructional materials from local materials and how they can be developed and produced for use to enhance effective learning.

— Electrical machines are devices that change either mechanical or electrical energy to the other and also can alternate the voltage levels of an alternating current. The need for electrical machines cannot be overemphasized since they are used in various applications in the world today. Its design is to meet the specifications as stated by the user and this design has to be an economical one. The design therefore revolves around designing the machine to meet the stipulated performance required, the cost available and the lasting life of the machine. This work aims to eliminate the tediousness involved in the manual hand calculations of designing the machines by making use of a graphical user interface and using iterations in situations where the data would have been assumed.

"Resolving construction disputes using an adversarial approach is considered to be in opposition of the maintenance of a harmonious relationship between two parties. The modern arbitration process may emulate the litigation proceeding leading to delay and cost escalation. During the past decade, the Hong Kong Government has implemented a mediation clause as an alternative mode for settlement of construction disputes. In this paper, the experience and insight into resolving construction disputes by integrating mediation and then arbitration in Hong Kong are highlighted. The state-of-the-art modern mediation process and its philosophical origins are reviewed. The shortcomings of the present system are pinpointed. The success of the adjudication now practiced in the United Kingdom may suggest that there is a place for another process of dispute resolution, which may help improve the situation. The prospect of the proposed mediation/adjudication and then arbitration mechanism is discussed with particular reference to the construction industry in Hong Kong.

Pulse compression is used in radar systems to improve range resolution while maintaining a high duty cycle. In addition to practical implementation constraints, the key issues for the selection of a pulse-compression waveform are mismatch loss, peak / integrated range sidelobes, and Doppler tolerance. While much progress has been made in the design of nonlinear frequency modulated (FM) chirp waveforms satisfying these requirements, the corresponding performance for binary phase-coded waveforms is often inadequate. In order to improve the range sidelobes achieved with phase-coded waveforms, specially designed mismatched pulse compression filters can be used. Several such approaches have been described in the literature since 1959. This paper review these techniques and highlight a particular approach using infinite impulse response (IIR) filters, which has received little attention in the past. Using this technique the performance for a number of binary phase codes of different length have been determined and their Doppler tolerance is investigated.

The article presented an integrated data set on the alternative dispute resolution
and employee commitment of selected Construction Companies. The objective of the
study was to determine the effect of negotiation on continuance commitment; identify
the influence of mediation on affective commitment; determine the effect of
conciliation on continuance commitment and investigate the influence of arbitration
on normative commitment. A structured questionnaire was administered to 268
respondents which was determined using stratified random sampling techniques. The
copies of questionnaire were analysed using AMOS 21, while Structural Equation
Modelling (SEM) analysis was done on the constructs to enable further
comprehensive investigations. However, further comprehensive investigations will
help in establishing the significant effect of alternative dispute resolution on employee
commitment and how this can be incorporated in organisations/institutions for
ultimate success

The absorption and emission spectra of six purine derivatives: adenine (I), N(9)-hydroxyethyladenine (II), N(6)-acetyladenine (III), N(6)-isobutyryladenine (IV), guanine (V), and N(2),N(9)-diacetylguanine (VI) have been investigated. The effects of solvent and pH on the positions of λ max  (absorption) and λ max  (emission) of these compounds were determined. Correlations between the absorption wavelength (λ max ) of these organic compounds and the solvent parameters (D,n,E) or (K,M,N) show that the peak position is affected mainly by specific- and non-specific types of interactions between the solvent and solute. Solvent effects on the electronic absorption band shifts are indicative of the extent of charge reorganization of the solute molecules upon electronic excitation. The Stokes shift (ν abs−ν em) was correlated with the orientation polarizability (Δf) and was found to depend mainly on the dielectric constant and the refractive index of the solvents. This shift reflects the influence of the equilibrium solvent arrangement around the excited solute molecule, which rearranges inertially due to the instantaneous charge redistribution upon radiative deactivation to the electronic ground state. A spectrofluorometric analysis technique was applied for the quantitative analysis of the components of a ternary mixture of compounds (I–III).
