    A huge THANK YOU and WOOF to our Bark Ranger volunteers and their canine companions! Bark Rangers provide visitors information and help protect endangered piping plovers and other wildlife by setting a good example. Cheers to a job well done!

    Yesterday we received our of the season! This morning, a pair of Sitka black-tailed deer were spotted along the park road. Sitka black-tailed deer typically breed in November, with fawns being born in late spring.

    All of is closed to visitors due to fire activity on the west side of the Continental Divide. If conditions allow, an Infrared flight is planned to gauge where there is current fire activity. This is a rapidly evolving situation. Currently, air quality is hazardous .
