    In 1931, Yellowstone hired Herma Baggley who was the first permanent, full-time, female ranger-naturalist in the . She also co-authored the first guide to the park's vegetation, "Plants of Yellowstone National Park," which is still used today!

    Check out this Pine Warbler! Take a moment to listen and you will hear many more birds than you will see in the dense, tall forests! Even if you don’t know the song, you can use the sound to locate the bird and get a view of it.
