Goofs

When Jake first meets Barron, he's told he can change himself into anything he can image, except for his eyes, he needed color contacts to hide the white irises. In the final battle, when Barron mimics Jake and the kids can't tell them apart, he should have still had his obviously white eyes since he had no time to put in colored contacts. See more »

Quotes

Franklin Portman: [Sees a bird flying above the boat] Wow! Jake, check it out. That's a peregrine falcon.
Jake: A peregrine like the headmistress?
Franklin Portman: Sure... That's probably where Grandpa came up with that whole turning into a bird thing.
Jake: Maybe - Maybe that's really her!
[Turns to shout at the bird]
Jake: Hey, Miss Peregrine! It's me, Jake! I'm Abe Portman's grandson! Please, don't crap on us!
[Franklin gives him a horrified look]
Jake: Oh my God, Dad, I'm kidding.

Tim Burton classic
28 September 2016 | by (Romania) – See all my reviews

Tim Burton does it again - he manages to create with passion and imagination a whole new world, for those of us who need new worlds. Thus if you love fantasy and dreams made serious and scary go see it in 3d because it's great. If you are more of an adult than the child within and you like films with linear plot and logic and exhaustive explanations you probably won't become a fan and that's OK too. Just don't rate it low just because it's not your type, a movie should be rated for what it was meant to be and for what the team behind it tried to accomplish. Watch the trailer, if you like it you'll probably love the film. It's worth mentioning that it is quite dark and scary so it's not for every child.
