Jerry Lewis Destroys Reporter in the Best Interview of 2016

Have you seen this interview yet? It's being praised as 8 minutes of comedy genius from a true legend and a master of the cinematic arts. Others are just calling Jerry Lewis a mean old jerk. However you want to view it, or whatever you want to take away from its intense awkwardness, this really is one of the few notes we could have ended 2016 on. Some call it the worst year in decades. And this wraps everything up perfectly with a nice little bow on top.

If you're hoping to learn anything new about Jerry Lewis in this painful interview, you might want to look elsewhere. His answers to the questions posed are mostly one word, and it's often just, 'Why?' He's not unaware of his surroundings. He's not drifting like Mickey Rooney in some of that acting icon's later-in-life interviews, where Rooney proves to be a mean old »

2016 Trailer Mashup Reminds Us at Least the Movies Were Good

Christmas and New Year's Eve are just around the corner, which means many are looking back at the year that was and reflecting upon it, before starting another trip around the sun. By many standards, 2016 was not a great year, especially considering how many entertainment icons we lost, such as Prince, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, Gene Wilder and countless others. Still, it was a great year by movie standards, with a number of iconic characters returning, or being introduced to, the big screen. Instead of looking back with what would be an exceedingly long memoriam reel, we have a succinct new video that breaks down some of this year's cinematic highlights.

This video comes from We Got This Covered, which kicks things off with a look back at the year's most memorable comedy movies. Included in this segment are brief snippets of films such as the divisive Ghostbusters reboot, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, »

Mr. Robot Star Wants to Play Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens

It doesn't matter what critics (and a good number of fans) think, Warner Bros. is going to keep expanding their DC Extended Universe until it isn't profitable. One of the next hotly anticipated expansions of that universe will come in the form of Gotham City Sirens, a spin-off featuring Harley Quinn and several other DC Comics lady villains. One of those villains is going to be Poison Ivy and Mr. Robot actress Stephanie Corneliussen wants to play her.

The Danish actress recently posted a photo to her Twitter account with the caption "Can I be your Poison Ivy??" It is one thing to be prompted by an interviewer, but it is another thing entirely to take it upon oneself to put something like that out in the world. After seeing the photo she posted, it would be hard to argue against her being a possibly solid choice for the role. »

Dune Reboot Targets Blade Runner 2049 Director

Many people working in Hollywood have a desire to work on projects they may never get the chance to, but that doesn't stop them from at least talking about them. It looks like Arrival director Denis Villeneuve may have willed one of his own personal dream projects into existence after recently talking about it publically. A new report claims that he is currently in talks to direct the upcoming Dune reboot.

Variety says that Denis Villeneuve is currently in early negotiations to helm the new version of Dune for Legendary Pictures, who recently secured the rights to the series. Last month, Legendary closed a deal with author Frank Herbert's estate for the rights to not only make movies based on his classic sci-fi creation, but also TV-based projects. It looks like they aren't wasting any time in getting things going, but they have yet to officially comment on this news specifically. »

Luke Skywalker's New Alien Friends Revealed in Star Wars 8?

At the very end of last year's epic blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans finally got to see Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) for the first time in 32 years, as he met the force-strong Rey (Daisy Ridley) on the hidden planet of Ahch-To. We know that Star Wars 8 will pick up directly after this meeting, but that's about all we officially know about the story thus far. While many have assumed that Luke Skywalker had spent all those years on Ahch-To alone, it seems that may not have been the case, according to the latest rumor.

A new report from Making Star Wars reveals that Luke Skywalker was actually sharing the planet of Ahch-To with a number of alien creatures, who reportedly resemble the puffin birds that actually inhabit Skellig Michael Island, where the Ahch-To scenes were shot. While the official name for these creatures have not been revealed yet, »

Marvel and Netflix Twitter Accounts Hacked by Security Group

Hacks happen on the internet all of the time. It is just part of living in the digital age and most of us do our best to make sure it won't happen by using simple encryption or having better passwords than "Password1234." But major companies generally have a lot more safeguards to prevent these kinds of things so that they won't have to suffer the consequences of some hacker gaining access to user info. It looks like Marvel and Netflix, two monstrous companies, aren't immune to hacks as they have both been subject to one from the same group in the last 24-hours.

Both the Marvel Entertainment (as well as other accompanying Marvel accounts) and Netflix Twitter accounts were recently hacked by a group known as OurMine. The tweets were quickly deleted by the various accounts, but the message from OurMine was clear and should only concern the companies themselves, »

Spider-Man Won't Return In Avengers: Infinity War?

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Avengers: Infinity War will start production on January 23, 2017 at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Marvel Studios still hasn't confirmed any cast members yet, but it is believed that practically the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe will be returning for this epic adventure. While many casting calls include plot details, this one does not, although there is quite the extensive cast list, which confirms that essentially all of the major McU characters will be present, except for Spider-Man. You may recall that Tom Holland himself stated that everything is "up in the air," in regards to his return in Avengers: Infinity War, »

By most accounts, Rogue One delivered on its promise and is currently crushing it at the box office. Executive Producer Dave Filoni recently shed some light on those references in the movie.

Patriots Day Review: Wahlberg Is Boston Strong in Marathon Bombing Biopic

21 December 2016 8:52 AM, PST

I've always been a big sucker for practically any movie based on a true story, partially because I'm always fascinated about the disconnect between truth and fiction with these adaptations, but also because stories that are at least "inspired by" true events often strike a more powerful chord than those which are completely fictional. Movie goers want to see the events they lived through portrayed on the big screen, along with the stories of the people they admired unfolding through celluloid. I wouldn't be so bold as to call the upcoming true story adaptation Patriots Day one of the best of all time, but it's certainly a powerful story that takes fans inside one of the most terrifying and empowering events in recent American history.

For those who don't hail from Massachusetts, Wisconsin or Maine, Patriots Day is a holiday celebrated on the third Monday in April, which commemorates the »

21 December 2016 8:26 AM, PST

Byung-hun Lee may not be a household name in America, but that is sure to change. The South Korean actor, model, and singer is a megastar in Asia. He started out on Korean television in the early nineties before making the leap to the big screen. His break out role was Joint Security Area in 2000. It catapulted him to stardom and became the top grossing film in Korean history.

Lee had a string of Asian hits before Hollywood came calling. He starred alongside Josh Hartnett in the 2009 Vietnamese thriller, I Come with the Rain. That role led to his American debut as the ass-kicking ninja, Storm Shadow, in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The overall film didn't remotely meet expectations, but Byung-hun Lee was a standout. He was phenomenal as Storm Shadow. That performance put western audiences on notice that Korea's box office king was crossing over.
