Very interesting article here in Wikipedia; here is just one sentence:

"The company [Olympus] is owned 17% by two large camera makers, Sony and Mitsubishi (makers of Nikon)."

Mitsubishi are not 'makers of Nikon'. Nikon is a member of the Mitsubishi kieretsu, a kieretsu is a loose business grouping, not like a western combine.
