The Buzz: The results can be mixed at best when a celebrated cinematographer takes to the director's chair, but when you've shot most of Christopher Nolan's films, his welcome and inescapable guiding hand is there as a mentor, friend, and fan, right? And the science her should be quite smart if writer Jack Paglen's Black Listed script is worth its salt (the rookie screenwriter was recently hired to develop/improve the Prometheus story as he will set work on a sequel). A larger threat than Johnny Depp turning into a mega-omniscient PC could be audience disinterest in this story which might be coming across as too thinky?

Certificate R   -   Comedy | Horror

Metascore: 13/100 (14 reviews)
Having exorcised the demons of his ex, Malcolm is starting fresh with his new girlfriend and her two children. After moving into their dream home, however, Malcolm is once again plagued by bizarre paranormal events.

The Buzz: Just like the genre it parodies, this spoof was rewarded with a sequel after earning back more than its entire budget on opening weekend. And Marlon Wayans will work to keep this story going until audiences just say no.

Certificate PG   -   Drama

Metascore: 47/100 (22 reviews)

The Buzz: Director Randall Wallace (Seabiscuit, We Were Soldiers) is a wise choice to adapt and helm this real-family drama that has a chance to cross over with general family audiences. Recent release God's Not Dead has earned over $40 million to date with an incredibly focused promotional campaign; can Sony top it?

Certificate G   -   Documentary

Metascore: 68/100 (18 reviews)
A documentary that follows an Alaskan bear family as its young cubs are taught life's most important lessons.

The Buzz: It's definitely not the easiest time to market a sex comedy co-starring Woody Allen. Regardless, this is one of the best movie titles in some time, and John Turturro's reliable form of comedy is always welcome with us.

Certificate PG-13   -   Musical

Metascore: 41/100 (8 reviews)
A pair of star-crossed dancers in New York find themselves at the center of a bitter rivalry between their brothers' underground dance clubs.
Director:

The Buzz: When you make a dance film with anyone who is too famous (Jessica Alba) or too impossibly good looking (Channing Tatum as well as Jessica Alba) it just doesn't really translate for us. That's no offense intended to "Dancing with the Stars" alumni Derek Hough and BoA (who is a superstar in her native South Korea), who bring some legitimacy to this hard-to-resist movie. We can picture going through two boxes of candy here.

Certificate PG-13   -   Comedy

Metascore: 30/100 (9 reviews)
As one of the world's best restaurants opens for its final evening, a couple in the midst of a divorce who made their reservation a year ago (before separating) reunite for a once-in-lifetime meal.

The Buzz: Spanish director Roger Gual gets his first real Stateside exposure with this ensemble comedy that plates up Claudia Bassols and Jan Cornet's relationship issues front and center.

Certificate R   -   Documentary | Comedy | Drama

Metascore: 67/100 (11 reviews)
Thirty miles from the Arctic Circle, in the northern Icelandic town of Husavik, stands the Icelandic Phallological Museum - the world's only Penis museum. Over 40 years, the founder and curator has collected every specimen from every mammal except for one elusive penis needed to complete his collection: The Human Specimen. The film follows the curator's incredible, sublimely comic, often shocking quest to complete his eccentric collection, and the two intrepid men who have raised their hands to be the first human donor.

The Buzz: All we're going to say is: the introduction of a man who refers to his penis as "Elmo" is almost the most discomforting moment of Jonah Bekhor and Zach Math's documentary.
