Returning Journalist Track

This is a highly individualized program designed for journalists with substantial professional experience. Course work is tailored to the individual's professional goals in close consultation with the student's adviser. For example, a veteran journalist interested in entering newsroom management may craft a curriculum that combines journalism theory and newsroom practices courses with graduate classes in the university's Business and Management Program. Or a general assignment reporter who wants to specialize in environmental issues may take courses at the Environmental Sciences Program. Or an editor who wants to enter teaching may focus on our mass communication theory courses.
