Fudan Financial Media Institue
The
US-China Education Trust, the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism and the
Fudan
University School of Journalism will launch the inaugural Financial Media Institute in November 2006. The Institute directors will manage the program and serve as instructors along with a variety of guest speakers. The Institute is also pleased to be partnering with Chinese WSJ.com.
The program, which will take place at Fudan University, is designed for 4th year journalism students. Approximately 50 students will participate in each Institute, which will consist of an intensive 10-day seminar on various aspects of business and economics reporting, focusing on current practices in the US. Upon completion of the program, participants will be better prepared not only to report on the financial markets, but also on the companies and individuals who are propelling China’s economic rise.
