Dooley Downs Homestead (December 2013)
contributed by Dools
(contact Dools about this story)
We were camping at the Mt Augustus Homestead site, my name is Dooley, and though there is no connection, we took the opportunity to drive the 35k north and visit the Dooley Downs Homestead. It has been uninhabited for about 20 years and is now managed by the Mt Augustus Homestead. It's a small homestead, but looks like it was once quite a pretty place with neat gardens around the house and a lovey veggie patch off to the side. We obtained permission from the Mt Augustus before heading off to Dooley Downs.
