Communist Party of India

The first attempt to create the Communist Party of India was at Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan in 1920. The major persons behind this party were Narendranath Bhattacharya alias Manabendranath Roy, Sripat Amrit Dange of Bombay, Singaravelu of Madras, Muzaffar Ahmed of Calcutta etc. Presently this party is named as Communist Pary of India (Marxist) or in shor CPI(M).
