RIverhead Little League celebrated the opening of its 2024 season with ceremonies at Stotzky Park Saturday morning.

Opening Day ceremonies included honoring the league’s 2023 New York Little League District 36 Champions, the undefeated majors team managed by Jason Kwasna.

A color guard was provided by the Riverhead High School NJROTC and Riverhead Blue Waves varsity baseball and softball players who got their start in Riverhead Little League threw the ceremonial first pitches.

L.I. Ducks mascot Quaker Jack was on hand to welcome the teams onto the field for the official opening of Riverhead Little League’s 72nd season.
