Ser ut til å være bestemt av den siste 1%-andelen av brukere som er registrert ifølge kildekoden.. Nå er det 15596 brukere registrert, og det har blitt registrert 17 brukere etter Soulbot.. 1% av 15596 = ca. 156 brukere, så da mangler det ca. 139-140 brukere som må registrere seg først. Igår ble det registrert ca. 50 brukere, så da blir det vel kanskje en 2 dager til ser det ut til.. kanskje 3 avhengig av 'trykket'. :) --Stigmj 6. aug 2006 kl. 01:34 (UTC)

1. How does your bot proceed actually? From which data do you start when running your bot, how often will you run your bot?
2. Are there any known difficulties in your bot and how does it interact with other bots running actually on lb-wikipedia (Robbot, QuistnixBot, TuvicBot, Escarbot)
3. What will be the added value for lb-wikipedia if your bot runs there? (compared to other bots (especially those running already on lb-wikipedia))
4. Are you ready and able to run your bot for us if we will have a special request?

1. Please add your language knowledge with the Babel-templates (similar than on your nl-userpage) to your lb-userpage.

If you are surprised why we ask you so many questions, here is the reason. Quite recently there are for us quite many bot requests and we do not want to have more regularly active bots then regularly active wikipedians. Moreover there is in our view no real added value if we have many bots that just add the 97th interwiki-link to all our year-articles every then and now.

Once you will have given us the ased information we will ask you to make a test-run with your bot on lb-wikipedia before we will grant you definitely bot-status. During this test run of 10 days we ask you not to do more then 10 edits per day.

I have to answer here, since my IP is now blocked at lb.

1) I start with a Norwegian article. I normally run the bot with some of the following parameters:

• interwiki.py User:Soulbot
• interwiki.py user:Soulbot -hint:all:Soulbot
• interwiki.py user:Soulbot -askhints

The bot is run 2-10 times a day. Not all the runs will affect lb wikipedia, either because the article does not exist on lb, or because lb is allready updated. The bot is mainly used for organic species, like these: (gråspurv, blåhval, rødhalet svart kakadue). It is also used for groups of species (genus, family, order, class and so on), and sometimes for other types of articles altogether. Each Interwiki-link is checked/chosen by me before the bot runs.

2) There are no known difficulties with my bot. It is the newest version of pywikipedia AFAIK, but I haven't seen it "interact" with other bots, so I cannot give you a full answer at this point.

3) The added value is my combined knowledge about biology and language. B) I don't think there are very many other Wikipedians who bother to go through articles about rats and fish. Especially because many of these articles' interwiki-links are a mess. For instance, an article about Rattus norvegicus may well link to Rattus which links to Rattus rattus and Muridae. Only 1 of these 4 are correct, and it usually takes a bit of work sorting it all out.

4) Yes, I will be both able and willing to run the bot on request.

About Babel: Sorry, but I seem to be blocked on lb right now. I'll try to add the Babel info if I find out how.
