Vito Genovese has been inactive for quite some time. Even on tr.wikipedia where he notes that he is gone for family matters. I have a request on Vito Genovese's userpage as well as on the talk page of main page for the wiki (linked above with the votes). Please remove only the checkuser flag. HaeB doesn't want to be checkuser anymore and announced in July the retirement for this function. He was elected on the 19th of Oktobre 2009 and the 2 years according to the local policy are over now. Nevertheless, thanks very much for his work!

For information of the stewards here: The election for this function in de.wiki will start in 3 days, so we'll have new checkusers (and hopefully 5 instead of just 3) by Novembre 7th. For the moment, there are 2 checkusers left. It's still not clear if Bdk wants to go on with the job who now needs to candidate again in this election until Octobre 24th (and is elected until Novembre 2nd). If she would decide to retire then we would not have 2 checkusers left between Novembre 2nd and Novembre 6th. Hopefully, there will not be any urgent need for checkuser information in the meantime that can't wait until Novembre 7th. I've been writing for the English and Italian wikipedias for ten years now but never created a username on the Italian one. For some reason, the Italian wiki has a 4-day grace period before a newly registered user can upload images, with a "Utente confermato" permission to allow Stewards to bypass the 4-day grace period. I guess I never had to upload an image on the Italian one, but wonder is someone can do the necessary I continue working on the Italian wikipedia? If not, no problem and just delete this paragraph. I think this was more of a question than anything else. Persisch, generally the terms for a returning administrator are set locally. You may want to ask a local bureaucrat on their talk page the same question, whether it's about you or another user. They will tell you exactly what the policy is. Upload Wizard campaign editors flag in commons for Logicwiki

:I am part of Tamil wiki community and we are planning to run a media contest for Tamil wiki projects. We intend to use Upload campaign mediawiki extension and customize it. Request you to please to help us know the procedure to get the Upload Wizard campaign editors flag and start the campaign.(we asked for permissions in the commons "requests for permissions page" and found out that the admins and crats there currently dont have the rights to grant this flag. I have been unable to find any documentation of this flag; either what it does, or who should be requesting it; so it seems we should discuss it on Commons before handing it out. I'm guessing the request is for the Upload Wizard Extension to be enabled on Tamil wikipedia. I don't think there's a flag; it seems like a request at bugzilla is required, so someone with .php-access can implement the described procedure.

I am not sure what to do next. Should i start an RFC or is the current note in commons admin noticeboard enough?. I checked the existing editors who have this flag: Neilk has changed his own user rights to this on Aug 29 and Erik too has changed his own user rights on Aug 30. The other documentation i have been able to find so for are this mediawiki page and developer Joroens' blog post. I am kind of clueless how to proceed next - should i initiate an RFC (it might take too long and not in time for our contest) or ask someone with the right to create a new campaign for us or ask for temporary flag for one of us for a fixed duration.
