Congressional Art Competition

Each spring the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district.

The winning entry from each congressional district across the United States is displayed for one year in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol. The winning student from each congressional district is invited, along with one guest, to the unveiling of the exhibit and a reception in Washington, D.C., and is provided two round-trip airline tickets for the occasion.

For the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, Congressman McClintock is seeking patriotic artwork befitting display in the U.S. Capitol. High school students in CA-05 should be able to relate their artwork to reflect pride in country, America’s symbols/icons, traditions, etc.

Artwork for CA-05's competition is due on April 18, 2024. Please deliver artwork to the district office in El Dorado Hills, CA.

Participants must fill out and attach the Student Release Form to their completed artwork. Additionally, please see the Art Submission Checklist and the Rules for Students and Teachers

For additional information, please contact Congressman McClintock's district office at 916-786-5560.
