Staphylococcus sciuri (also currently Mammaliicoccus sciuri) are anaerobic facultative and non-motile bacteria that causes significant human pathogenesis such as endocarditis, wound infections, peritonitis, UTI and septic shock. Some methicillin-resistant S. sciuri (MRSS) also infects animals that include healthy broilers, cattle, dogs and pigs. The emergence of MRSS strains thereby poses a serious health threat and thrives the scientific community towards novel treatment options. Herein, we investigated the druggable genome of S. sciuri by employing subtractive genomics that resulted in 7 genes/proteins where only 3 of them were predicted as final targets. Further mining the literature showed that the ArgS (WP_058610923), SecY (WP_058611897) and MurA (WP_058612677) are involved in multi-drug resistance phenomenon. The 3D protein homology models were built and validated, followed by screening against a Traditional Chinese Medicine library (n = 36,043 compounds). The molecular dockin...

ABSTRACT The distributed control systems (ICSs) implementation within cloud computing environment is a new approach, in information technology arena. Few researches have been taken placed, to deploy the SCADA system within cloud computing environment but failed to provides security during communication. SCADA systems as part of "Distributed control systems (ICS)", implementations within real sectors (real automation sectors) are cost effective, while deploying in cloud computing environment, the cost has significantly minimized. Mean that cloud computing platform is best approach for SCADA system, in terms of performance and cost. The current research paper reviews, the SCADA and cloud computing architectures and deployed the entire SCADA system within cloud computing environment, and measured the performance results during packets (bytes) transmission. In first phase, packets (bytes) have been transmitted with different date rates and CPU and memory consumption are measured with the baud rate as 9600. In second phase, abnormal traffic has been generated within cloud environment (SCADA within cloud environment) and the packets (within abnormal communication) have been captured using Snort tool (Wireshark with Pcap tool is also used for analysis and packet capturing).

To assess the outcome and risk factors associated with mortality in patients with acute respiratory failure (ARF). Observational study. The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, between January 1997 and June 2001. All adult patients admitted with a medical cause of acute respiratory failure were reviewed. The primary outcome measure was mortality and secondary outcome measures were factors associated with mortality in ARF. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to identify the independent risk factors for mortality. A total of 270 patients were admitted with ARF. Hypercapnic respiratory failure was seen in 186 (69%) and hypoxemic in 84 (31%) cases. Pneumonia and COPD exacerbation were the most common underlying causes of ARF. Ventilator support was required in 93 (34.4%) patients. Hospital mortality was 28%. Chronic renal failure, malignancy, hypokalemia, severe acidosis (pH <7.25) septicemia and ARDS independently correlated with mortality. Mortality rate increased shar...
