Weiler, Staff Tabbed USC Region V Coaching Staff of the Year

Coaching Staff Led JHU to First National Championship

KANSAS CITY, MO – The honors continue to roll in for the Johns Hopkins women's soccer program as head coach Dan Weiler along with assistant coaches Greg Ridout and Jennifer Nance have been named the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Region V Coaching Staff of the Year it was recently announced.  Weiler's staff also includes assistant athletic trainer Liz Koehling and assistant director of athletic performance Omari Thompson.
 
Weiler and his staff guided the Blue Jay women's soccer team to a 23-0-2 record and the first NCAA Championship in program history.  Johns Hopkins' 23 wins are the most in program history, while the team's 21 consecutive wins to end the season tied the record for the longest winning streak in school history.
 
In addition to the NCAA Championship, which the Blue Jays claimed with a 2-1 win over fourth-ranked Case Western in the title game, Johns Hopkins also won its 15th Centennial Conference title, including its record 13th Centennial Tournament Championship.
 
In November, Weiler and his staff were named the Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Blue Jays to a perfect 10-0 regular season record and the conference's tournament title.
 
Each of the USC staffs receiving Region Staff of the Year honors will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Ceremony at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, in Philadelphia.
