TV Article Counting Crows and Rob Thomas announce tour By Jessica Goodman Published on April 11, 2016 12:17PM EDT Mark your summer calendar for another major tour: Counting Crows and Rob Thomas are about to embark on a co-headlining summer tour across North America, beginning in West Palm Beach, Florida, on July 22, and ending in Nashville on September 30. “Twenty years ago Rob and I were like kids running around Italy in the middle of the night getting drunk and playing gigs. I still love nothing more than touring with my friends. This is going to be a great summer,” said Crows’ Adam Duritz in a statement. “Music is about good friends getting together and celebrating life. Our fans are going to be doing that in the audience and we will be doing that on stage as well. Bring on the summer!” Thomas echoed. The news follows Counting Crows’ most recent release, 2014’s Something Under Wonderland, and Thomas’ third solo effort, 2015’s The Great Unknown. When announcing it, he told EW, “This record is a little bit more like the first solo record that I did. When I put together a record I still want to make it kind of diverse. I don’t want it to just feel like it’s a one-trick pony for 12 songs. I try to get a little bit of as many things that I’m kind of into at that time, the different styles.” Pre-sale tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 12, and general sales are available Thursday, April 14.
