The relevant ministry has presented an amended draft of the updated National Energy and Climate Plan, which sets more ambitious goals for Slovenia in line with EU targets. The draft addresses two electricity supply scenarios post-2030: renewables only and a combination with N-energy. The government could endorse it as early as at the end of summer.

The Constitutional Court has annulled a decree under which the Radenci municipality renamed Tito Road into the Road of Slovenian Independence in June 2021. The mayor acted unlawfully by promulgating the decree before a deadline for a potential referendum request expired, the court found.

Slovenian insurance companies have written nearly EUR 639 million in gross premiums in the first three months of 2024, down 12% compared to the same period in 2023. This is largely due to the abolition of top-up health insurance, the Insurance Supervision Agency finds.
