I've added a lot of information on the organization activities and influence, backed by articles from the media and from other animal protection groups in the footnotes. Most of them refer to the organization by its previous name, "Anonymous for Animal Rights", but that's expected as the name was changed only two years ago. Is it okay to take down the notability template now? טיפש ט"ו בשבט (talk) 21:26, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Good start, but not quite there. See WP:ORGDEPTH. Normal Op (talk) 23:24, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Thanks! Is it okay to use Hebrew language source? I saw you put a citation needed tag on the passage regarding the campaign against using wildlife in circuses. I can find notable sources in Hebrew to back the information, but I'm not sure if the English sources on the subject would be considered notable.
- I also noticed you took down the two passages that cited PETA as their source, does it mean that it is not considered a valid source? I can find media articles to cite as sources for these passages instead, would that be appropriate? טיפש ט"ו בשבט (talk) 09:55, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Also, I added another source for the passage about Challenge 22. Can I take down the "better source needed" tag now? טיפש ט"ו בשבט (talk) 11:09, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
- A Hebrew article is okay (Google Chrome browser has a translator, and there's no policy against using non-English sources). PETA as a source has been under discussion for a few weeks on WP:RSN noticeboard. Though the discussion is not complete/closed, most seem to state that WP:ABOUTSELF is a guide to whether or not peta.org can be used. You don't need permission to remove a "citation needed" tag if you replace it with a RS citation that supports the content. Normal Op (talk) 19:29, 24 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
- Good to know. I added some more Hebrew sources, and put up again one of the two passages that were taken down, now with a better source. טיפש ט"ו בשבט (talk) 00:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I added back the passage about the South American slaughterhouses investigation, this time with more information and a better source, from the media and not from PETA. I also took down the line "In 2012, Animals Now, together with another organization, petitioned the Supreme Court of Israel to close a Tnuva slaughterhouse due to cruelty to animals" from the opening, as it seems trivial and not very relevant, especially after adding so much more updated information. After consulting on the subject with use:SlimVirgin, I think it's now a good time to let go of the notability clarification template. טיפש ט"ו בשבט (talk) 14:59, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
