An ECG (Electrocardiogram, also known as EKG from the German Elektrokardiogramm) is a medical test that creates a graphical recording of the heart's electrical activity.
This Wikiversity page aims to increase access to medical knowledge by collecting free online learning resources and highlighting areas where there are unmet needs for educational resources. As of November, 2013, this project is under active development but is not yet ready for general use.

[edit | edit source]ECG Roadmap
[edit | edit source]- Learn how to perform an ECG including Lead placement
- Learn to systematically analyse the features of an ECG:
- A basic set of ECG features to learn about includes the Rate, Rhythm and Axis.
- Common ECG features related to heart activation (depolarisation) include the P wave, PR interval and QRS complex.
- Common ECG features related to heart recovery (repolarisation) include the ST segment, T wave and QT interval.
- Less common ECG features include the PTa or PR segment, U wave, Delta wave and Epsilon wave.
- Extend your knowledge about ECG pathology including the effects of Electrolytes, Ischemia and infarction, Toxicology, Hypertrophy, Conduction blocks, Pacemakers and Genetic disorders.
- ACC/AHA Clinical Competence Statement may also be useful...
