Thanks, Dianna, for the notice. Thanks, Dianna, for the notice. Yes, I committed a copyright problem during my introduction to the Bafuliiru history, and I have been working relentlessly to get rid of that introduction. I’m still working on the intro portion where I copy Kikuyu’s old text. Thanks! EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 20:39, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lulenge moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Lulenge. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs reliable sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:50, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! I have added additional sources to the article, and it is ready for publication; however, I don’t see the “Submit your draft for review!” option. So what can I do after I add more information like citations, the history of the locality, and the recent conflicts that have haunted the region? Hello, Robert McClenon! I was unaware, but I appreciate you for notifying me. Is there any possibility of moving the article into the article space because I can’t see any option at my fingertips? EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 05:17, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
User:EdwinAlden.1995 - What are you asking for? You created two copies of Lulenge, one in draft space, and one in article space. The copy in draft space has been redirected to the copy in article space. What do you want?  !!!!

Thank you[edit]

Furiiru people[edit]

Hi, I'm afraid that adding a cite does not make the article any clearer. See discussion here. Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:01, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have modified the article
Great job on addressing the confusion regarding the terminologies used in the article! I have made some grammatical and vocabulary improvements to the article to make it more polished and sophisticated.
I appreciate your highlighting the issue, which prompted me to revisit and revise the article to prevent further ambiguity. I have since updated the content, and you may review it at your convenience. Specifically, “Bafuliiru” denotes a community of people, while “Mfuliru” refers to an individual belonging to this group. The Bafuliiru constitute an ethnic community inhabiting the regions of South and North Kivu. Historically, the Banyamulenge, a Tutsi community within the same locale, referred to the Bafuliiru as “Bafulero” or “Furiiru,” a label that many historians, ethnologists, and anthropologists now deem inaccurate. The Bafuliiru people themselves prefer to be recognized as “Fuliru,” “Fuliiru,” “Bafuliru,” or “Bafuliiru.” Additionally, their native tongue, Kifuliru or Kifuliiru, takes its name from the ethnic group. To avoid confusion and promote historical accuracy, many historians, ethnologists, and anthropologists now use “Bafuliru,” “Bafuliiru,” or “Fuliru” to refer to the group instead of “Furiiru” or “Bafulero”.
It’s important to respect the preferences of the Bafuliiru people and use accurate terminology when referring to them. By doing so, we can promote cultural sensitivity and understanding EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 19:29, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Lemera massacre, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. This can be also done through this helpful user script: User:SD0001/DYK-helper. Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:38, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus
I am trying to feature several works on Wikipedia’s main page in the ‘Did You Know’ section, such as Fally Ipupa, South Kivu, Bwito Chiefdom, Stade des Martyrs, Walungu Territory, Kaziba Chiefdom, Ngweshe Chiefdom, and more. However, I am struggling with how to start, particularly when it comes to adding these articles to the ‘Did You Know’ section. EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 05:03, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Try using the SD001 DYK helper script, it gives you a pop up window with some items to fill and you are done. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:30, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Lemera massacre, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You can also use a friendly script for that. You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:38, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Parc Reptilarium Serpents du Congo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DYK nomination of Koffi Olomide[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Koffi Olomide at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! BlueMoonset (talk) 01:27, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Escape Orbit, thanks for the heads-up. I was already writing a response to express my gratitude. To keep it brief, I started working on Fally Ipupa and Koffi Olomide's articles to enhance their clarity, as they contained numerous grammatical errors and unsupported information. I began researching the corresponding sources in French, eliminated extraneous links, and expanded the articles. However, I did make a few mistakes in the process, which you have kindly rectified. My objective was to edit and enhance these pieces to a good article status, which is why you continue to see frequent edits from me on both pieces.
Thanks for flagging that error; I planned to eliminate that link after interacting with a fellow Wikipedian.
Thank you! EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 18:38, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Talent Latent moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Talent Latent. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because you may have a possible Conflict of Interest and several cited sources (e.g. The Films of Michael Mann, "Rhumba star Fally Ipupa...") appear completely unrelated to the subject and simply use the phrase "latent talent" in passing. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. signed, Rosguill talk 15:19, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New project for you[edit]

Hi @EdwinAlden.1995, it's my turn to offer you a project to sink your teeth into. I stumbled across this page, and as you can see, it's a disaster. The history section is barely referenced, and I was about to delete most of it, when I thought of you. Let me know if you'd be interested to work on it, otherwise, I'll probably just delete all unreferenced content and reduce it to bare bones. Cheers! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 03:32, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, @Revirvlkodlaku, although my acquaintance with Caribbean music is limited, the Kassav page has been a focal point of my works. I've also experienced the same issues you mentioned earlier. Thanks for the suggestion; I will do my best to enhance its references forthwith. EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 08:40, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @EdwinAlden.1995, I look forward to working on the project with you. Will you please let me know once you're done with it, so I can proofread it? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:02, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Revirvlkodlaku, you got it. I’ll shoot you a message when I’m finished with the article. EdwinAlden.1995 (talk) 19:20, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
