Errr, yeah. It looks like it was the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (New York) for those two. ----DanTD (talk) 14:49, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Jeff Park Transit Center

I see you've had a problem with my changing C&NW to Metra as that agency didn't exist at those instances. I suppose I should explain. I put Metra in the box to refer to the station, not to the (re)builder. As it is, the infobox refers to 3 different companies/agencies to refer to two different parts of one whole. The more I read, the more I am slapped in the face with the fact that railfans love to drop the names of predecessor companies whenever possible. For railfans, no explanation is needed. We speak the language. However, when it comes to a *ahem* "normal person," such jargon is a bit bewildering. I replaced "C&NW" with "Metra" in order to simplify this for the uninitiated.

And if we want to get nit-picky about the situation, as you pointed out in an earlier edit, the station wasn't constructed by the Northwestern, so adding C&NW for opening is still incorrect.

I'd appreciate your feedback on this topic so that we can clarify the whole issue in the best possible way. Lost on Belmont (talk) 22:54, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Shift from car based to truck and van based ambulances - your edit

Hi, Dan. I saw your edit to "History of the ambulance" - I moved it to the talk page there because 1) it was in hidden text, and thus not likely to be seen; 2) I'm moderately well-read on the subject and don't recall seeing that info before; and (related) 3) there was no source included. I explain a bit more fully on the Talk:History of the ambulance#Shift to truck and van based motor units page, so I invite you there to see it and join the discussion. Perhaps you have a source you could share? Or perhaps there's a piece of the puzzle I'm just not seeing. Thanks, --Badger151 (talk) 23:24, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

It occurs to me on reflection that I might have done better to simply raise the issue more-privately on your talk page - I do apologize. --Badger151 (talk) 03:40, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
