Libration

[edit]

Hi, glad to see someone else took umbrage at Libration's "permits" vs. "causes".

I only agree nine parts in twelve with you however as far as libration not being caused by changes in an earth-bound observer's perspective. After all, the parallax librations are a recognised class and depend only on the observer's earth-bound position. What would you say to something more like:

"...the apparent position of the Moon perceived by Earth-bound observers and caused by changes between the orbital and rotational planes of the moon, or by changes to the earth-bound position of an observer."
