The article is completely without references, based entirely on various editor's personal anecdotal knowledge, and has nothing useful to say. (Lacking in encyclopedic content) I prefer to delete. If there were any content to arrive, it should bemerged to Chinese American and this article forked into a disambig. Also worth noting that the top google hits are for American_Born_Chinese by Mr. Yang--Tznkai (talk) 16:32, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Merge to Chinese-American. I think there may be a distinction of some sort and that's the best place to deal with the topic. ChildofMidnight (talk) 20:31, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep per standard of article. per future possible use of this article in articles concerning this kind of people.--Judo112 (talk) 08:44, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep There is a difference between ABC and Chinese American: there are people with American citizenship but not born in China (for example, generation 1.5-ers who stay in the US after finishing college or whatnot and eventually get citizenship). Just looking at the image gallery in the Chinese American infobox, Elaine Chao, Jerry Yang, and Tsung-Dao Lee are all Chinese Americans who were born overseas. ABC is a significant concept and worthy of at least a stub; granted, you're right that the current article is crap, but that's an editorial issue, not a deletion issue. And compare to a similar separation in the articles Indian American and ABCD. in that example, ABCD is more about the term than the people, but it's still worth considering... and stuff can be written about the term ABC as well. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 23:58, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
