DIOGO DE PAYVA DE ANDRADE
Notes
16th-century medallion bearing the effigy of Diogo de Paiva de Andrade (1528–1575). It was in the chapel of Saint Nicholas of Tolentino, in Lisbon, where he was buried in 1575. When the church was destroyed during the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake, it was recovered intact from the ruins, and was salvaged by the Marquess of Pombal.
