request to restore PRODed article

Hello. Yesterday, I attempted to add a new article on the film Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement and I received a message that a page with that title had been deleted by you on August 29, 2009, for being non-notable and lacking 3rd party references. My new article (offline) includes an Awards section with 21 entries (all with refs) as well as over 80 total citations. I'm not familiar with what happens next, but I'd appreciate you doing whatever you need to do so that I can add my new article. Thanks very much. I realized today that you aren't particularly active on WP these days, so I re-directed my request, which was granted. No need for further action on your part on this one. Thanks. NOLA1982 (talk) 20:13, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your Mop

I have restored your mop status, albeit fashionably late, apologizes. Welcome back, enjoy, and the cleaner is just over there... ;) -- Amanda (aka DQ) 09:54, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator account security (Correction to Arbcom 2019 special circular)

ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.

Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

For the Arbitration Committee, -Cameron11598 21:04, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please explain...

Your edit summary says: "Undid revision 656197544 by ThaddeusB (talk) - my mistake, missed discussion the first time".

Hmmm. How about leaving a link to that discussion on Talk:Dzhokhar_and_Tamerlan_Tsarnaev?

Much appreciated. Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 20:39, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:11, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hadi al-Modarresi contracting COVID-19

Hi ThaddeusB,

Can you please provide the evidence of his al-Modarresi's office "confirming that he contracted the virus"? Because the most I found was a voice note by al-Modarresi stating that he is ill, but no mention of COVID-19. It is worthy to note, that not everyone that falls ill in Iran, means they have corona. Anyways would appreciate if you can provide me with the evidence you mentioned in your edit summary.

Hi, you contested a PROD on this article back in 2012. I've nominated it for deletion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/J. J. Milan) and invite you to participate in the discussion. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:24, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

you don't appear active, but just a heads up that I took this article, which you dePRODded, to AfD. Welcome your input. StarM 15:53, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:IPod Onion.JPG

Thank you for uploading File:IPod Onion.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity
