I am an architecture student with an unhealthy obsession with chemistry, namely those pretty colored things called molecules. The main thing I do here is uploading images of molecular models.
Molecular models convey more information that a structural formula can't. Plus, they are aesthetically pleasing and add colour to articles. Contributing to Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia is one of the most fulfilling things I've done, as I am helping to make the science more accessible to the non-chemist.
I was inspired to do this in the first place by Ben Mills (Benjah-bmm27) and his excellent molecular models (I guess you could say I'm his biggest fan). Plus I spent a while making edits of his molecules. But now I use Accelrys Discovery Studio Visualizer
As of 30 July 2010, my edit count on Commons is OVER 9000!
