Tsutaya Books Daikanyama
Appearance
Tsutaya Books Daikanyama, also known as T-site Daikanyama, is a bookstore in the Daikanyama neighbourhood of Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Housed in a purpose-built complex that has won a World Architecture Festival award,[1] it has been named by the Financial Times as one of "the most brilliant bookshops in the world".[2]
It is a branch of the Tsutaya chain of video rental shops and bookstores operated by Culture Convenience Club throughout Japan and Taiwan.[3]
Its design concept has been described as "library in a forest". The building's layout - a lattice of interlocking T-shapes - reflects Tsutaya's logo.[4][5]
