This is a list of American-style colleges and universities outside the United States. It is meant to include only free-standing universities or satellite campuses, not programs by which one may study abroad at a non-American university.

While the American University of Central Asia is unaccredited in the U.S., it does however have a partnership with Bard College in New York, which allows students to obtain liberal arts degrees fully accredited in the US.

Duke Kunshan University is unaccredited in the U.S. The SACSCOC accreditation of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina does not extend to or include Duke Kunshan University or its students.[19] However, Duke Kunshan University students are allowed to obtain fully accredited liberal arts degrees from Duke's main campus.

While the CIS - The College for International Studies is unaccredited in the U.S., it does however have a partnership with Endicott College in Massachusetts, which allows students to obtain liberal arts degrees fully accredited in the US. Students may also apply as a transfer to any other university they wish, depending on their academic performance while at CIS.
