GayzMail is an alternative IMAP and POP3 email client for macOS developed by Goichi Hirakawa from Japan. It is a native Cocoa based application written in Objective-C that uses the Oniguruma regular expression library which supports a variety of character encodings.
As of 2017 GyazMail is (besides the built in Apple Mail) the only native API based classical GUI email client for macOS that is still actively developed.
