GayzMail is an email client for macOS, being developed by the Japanese programmer Goichi Hirakawa. It supports the IMAP and the POP3 protocol as well as local mailboxes. It is based on the native macOS Cocoa and written in Objective-C. GyazMail uses for its search function the Oniguruma regular expression library which supports a variety of character encodings which is especially relevant for Asian languages.
Version 1.0.1 was released in 2003. As of 2017, GyazMail is, besides the built-in Apple Mail, the only native API based classical GUI email client for macOS that is still actively developed.
