The Danish UNIX-systems User Group (DKUUG) is a computer user group. They are active in the standards processes for UNIX, POSIX, the Internet, and the World Wide Web.
History
DKUUG was formed in 1982 to provide Internet access to the Danish academic community and then in 1983 to the whole of Denmark. It formed a commercial subsidiary, DKnet, organized as the Danish affiliate of the EUnet network.[1]
DKnet was sold to TeleDanmark, the Danish PTT, in 1996 in a private transaction valued at "several million dollars".[2]
