National Accountability Bureau

The National Accountability Bureau was established in Pakistan on November 16, 1999 with the promulgation of National Accountability Ordinance 1999 immediately after the take over of government by General Pervez Musharraf on October 12, 1999. This bureau is the elite anti-corruption agency of Pakistan. The bureau consists of the office of Chairman and the office of Prosecutor General of Accountability in Pakistan. The former is the head of investigation while latter is the head of prosecution. Lt.Gen. Munir Hafiez is the first chairman who completed the four year tenure of his office while a leading lawyer Irfan Qadir is the first Prosecutor General of Accountability in Pakistan to complete the three year tenure of his office. The bureau has till date recovered over two hundred and forty billion rupees (equivalent of four billion dollars) from corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen etc. National Accountability Bureau of Pakistan has been extremely successful in effectively combating the menace of corruption in the higher hierarchy of the country. i poop my pants alot
