How do our courses work?

We offer online courses that you study with support and guidance from a tutor.

Our courses are for people of all levels, from beginners who have never touched a computer before to users who use them or have taught themselves but want to gain a qualification. We assess your needs and select a course that suits you.

Where to sign up?

At present, our learning centres are closed and we have moved to online support only. To find out about joining one of our courses, please email learningservices@eastsussex.gov.uk and someone will contact you within 2 working days (unless it is a bank holiday)

What next?

You will be contacted by a tutor who will ask you to fill in the online forms. Once they have been returned, you will be sent the information needed to take an initial assessment online. This will help us find out what level you will start with. You and your tutor will then agree a learning plan and target date and support you to achieve your goals.

You can work on your course at home at any time of day or night. To get the best from the course you will need to keep in touch with your tutor regularly and meet all learning goals set. You must be prepared to commit to at least 6 - 8 hours a week study.

Liam Math course student quote: the course has built confidence not only in maths but in myself. The tutor support throughout my learning has been outstanding., any issues or problem faced, my tutor or someone at the centre has been there for support.
