British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024

British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Department of English Studies, Durham University

The Department of English Studies invites expressions of interest from outstanding candidates who wish to apply for a prestigious British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship through Durham University.

We welcome enquiries from eligible candidates particularly those related to the research themes in the department, or to relevant University Research Centres and Institutes (https://www.dur.ac.uk/arts.humanities/research/research_centres//)

Applications are particularly welcome from women and black and minority ethnic candidates, who are under-represented in academic posts in the University.

For the internal competition candidates are asked to secure a mentor in the Department/School to support their application. They should submit an expression of interest (i.e., an up-to-date CV and 1 A4 page summary of the research proposal) to the mentor by 12 noon, Friday 26 July 2024.

Working with their mentor candidates will be required to complete and return Durham University’s internal application form, available via the Arts and Humanities Research Team (artsandhumanities.researchteam@durham.ac.uk) by 12 noon, Friday 9 August 2024.
