LEARN MOREWASHINGTON – Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement after House Republicans voted to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress.
FRESNO, Calif – Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) announced $13 million in federal funding to purchase new clean school buses for School Districts across the Central Valley. Fresno and Selma Unified will receive a combined $8 million in federal funding. This funding was made possible through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Costa helped pass in Congress.
ABOUT JIM
James Manuel (Jim) Costa has represented the San Joaquin Valley in the United States House of Representatives since 2005. Costa proudly represents California’s 21st Congressional District, which includes parts of Fresno and Tulare counties.
A descendant of Portuguese immigrants, his grandparents immigrated from the Azores Islands of Portugal to the United States to build a better life for themselves and their family. They started as dairy workers and worked hard to establish their own family dairy in Fresno’s Kearney Park.
