User talk:71.233.232.243
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

I'd like to also mention that the way we use svg's here, is that they are automatically converted to png for browsers which don't support svg, so that is not really an issue. The browser downloads the png version, and anybody who wants the svg, can get it from the image page. Bawolff 04:02, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
The reason for the block is available in the block log. The administrator listed there in the block log can give you further information.

Image deletion warning | Category:All rights reversed has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

It's difficult to argue with http://samspade.org/whois/71.233.232.243 - how exactly are you all using that IP Address? What software, hardware, and configuration parameters are you using to access Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, other than Internet Explorer on Windows on a PC on a LAN connected to a Comcast cable modem in Massachusetts? Thanks! — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 06:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. If you're concerned with privacy, registering also hides your IP address.
